2025 3GML Season - Week 16

Packers Clinch NFC North With 27-18 Win Over Bears in Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) — The Green Bay Packers officially locked up the NFC North title Sunday, defeating the Chicago Bears 27-18 at Soldier Field in a physical divisional showdown.

Running back Isiah Pacheco set the tone for Green Bay, pounding out 105 rushing yards and a touchdown, repeatedly punishing a Bears defense that struggled to match his intensity. Pacheco’s downhill style helped the Packers control tempo and keep Chicago from mounting sustained momentum.

The Packers’ defense complemented the effort, forcing Chicago into difficult third downs and limiting explosive plays, particularly in the second half as Green Bay protected its lead.

With the win, the Packers secured the division crown and reinforced their status as one of the NFC’s most complete teams heading into the postseason — balanced on offense, opportunistic on defense, and battle-tested after a full season of tight divisional games.

Texans Clinch AFC South in 40-21 Win Over Raiders — After the Game Literally Restarted

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans officially claimed the AFC South title on Sunday with a 40-21 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, though the path to the division crown included yet another bizarre chapter in the ever-growing Jim Leonhard Cinematic Universe.

Quarterback Drake Maye was excellent — eventually — throwing for 331 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception as Houston pulled away in the second half. The Texans offense was crisp, aggressive, and in complete control once the game actually counted.

That distinction matters because, midway through the second quarter, the game crashed entirely.

According to team sources, the stadium screens froze, the crowd went silent, and an “error” sound echoed through NRG Stadium. After a brief delay, officials announced the unthinkable: the game would need to be restarted from the beginning.

Naturally, speculation immediately turned to former defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.

Fans swear they heard the Gladiator soundtrack faintly playing through the stadium speakers just before the crash. One staffer claimed Leonhard was seen near the sound booth holding a USB drive labeled “RUN FITS – FINAL VERSION (FIXED)”.

When asked postgame if Leonhard had anything to do with the reset, interim head coach Frank Ross shrugged.

“All I know is the system rebooted, the defense tackled better, and we won the division,” Ross said. “If Jim was involved… I hope he at least fixed the sliders.”

Once play resumed — from 0-0, much to the Raiders’ dismay — Houston took full advantage. Maye carved up the Las Vegas secondary, spreading the ball around and putting the game out of reach by the fourth quarter. The Texans defense, refreshed by the reset (and possibly exorcised), forced multiple stops and turned the game into a celebration late.

With the win, Houston secures the AFC South crown and positions itself firmly in the race for the conference’s top seed — all while proving once again that in the 3GML, not even reality is safe from a reboot.

As for Leonhard?
Reports say he was last seen leaving the stadium humming Hans Zimmer and whispering, “Did you try turning it off and on again?”

Stafford Leads Chargers Past Cowboys, 25-13, to Hold AFC West Lead

DALLAS (AP) — The Los Angeles Chargers continued their push atop the AFC West with a 25-13 road win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, leaning on a vintage performance from Matthew Stafford rather than their usual formula.

While Christian McCaffrey has been the story of the season, this one belonged to Stafford, who carved up the Cowboys’ defense for 339 yards and two touchdowns, repeatedly beating coverage with precision throws and calm pocket presence. Stafford controlled the tempo from start to finish, keeping Dallas at arm’s length and quieting any comeback attempts.

The Chargers’ defense complemented the effort by limiting explosive plays and forcing the Cowboys to settle for field goals, allowing Los Angeles to methodically build and protect its lead.

With the win, the Chargers maintain their grip on first place in the AFC West and now turn their attention to a highly anticipated 3GML showdown next week at home against the Houston Texans, a game that could have major playoff implications.

49ers Rout Colts 47-7 on Road, Tighten Grip on NFC West

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season Sunday, steamrolling the Indianapolis Colts 47-7 on the road behind a relentless ground attack and a nightmarish afternoon for the Colts defense.

San Francisco piled up 546 total yards of offense, overwhelming Indianapolis from the opening drive. Running back Jaylen Warren led the charge with a career day, exploding for 161 rushing yards and three touchdowns, repeatedly ripping through wide-open lanes and finishing runs with authority.

Not to be outdone, rookie Kaleb Johnson continued his impressive emergence, adding 89 rushing yards and two touchdowns of his own as the 49ers turned the game into a track meet by halftime. The duo combined for five rushing scores, completely controlling the tempo and wearing down the Colts front seven.

Quarterback Jordan Love didn’t need to force the issue, efficiently directing an offense that scored on seven of its first nine possessions while the defense stifled Indianapolis into early mistakes and short drives.

The win keeps the 49ers firmly in first place in the NFC West, a division that remains historically deep — if the season ended today, all four teams would qualify for the playoffs. San Francisco needs one more win in its final two games to officially lock up the division crown.

With December football underway, the 49ers are peaking at the right time — physical, explosive, and fully in control of their own destiny.
