Tennessee Titans 23

LONDON - The red hot Baltimore Ravens (4-2) picked up their 4th consecutive win with a 30-23 victory over the Tennessee Titans in London, England.

QB Jalen Hurts scored three TDs on the day and again led the team to victory.

Safety Jevon Holland and MLB Roquan Smith continued their dominant plan to lead the Ravens defense.

San Diego Chargers 23

Dallas Cowboys 16

SAN DIEGO - After being considered a playoff afterthought by many experts prior to the season, the San Diego Chargers (5-0) remain unbeaten after their 23-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Rookie DT Calijah Kancey returned to action after a 4-week absence to pick up a 'big man' INT in the 3rd quarter.

K Youngehoe Koo drilled a 56-yard FG late in the 4th to seal the victory despite the falling rain.

The Chargers will now travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the also undefeated Kansas City Chiefs.

San Francisco 49ers 27

Cleveland Browns 3

CLEVELAND - The San Francisco 49ers stayed undefeated with an easy 27-3 win over the short-handed Cleveland Browns.

The story of the game was Dalvin Cook who surprisingly popped up on the injury report earlier in the week with a calf strain.  Listed as "out" by the 49ers on the injury report, Cook dressed anyway.  When told league rules prevented him from playing, Cook took a Sharpie to his Jersey and introduced himself as Calvin Dook.  Referees shrugged and let him play.

The 49ers will look to keep their top spot in the NFC next week as they take on the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

Philadelphia Eagles 10

NEW JERSEY - The Philadelphia Eagles struggled to move the ball against the elite New York Jets defense and fell 20-10.  The loss drops the Eagles to 3-3 on the season.

After the game coach Eric Bieniemy promised changes on offense.

"We'll evaluate everything," Bieniemy said.

The Eagles will look to rebound next week at home against the Dolphins.

Houston Texans 27

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans lost for a second straight week to a previously winless opponent, falling this time to the Saints 35-28.

Defensively, the Texans looked sluggish and struggled to stop the Saints offense, giving up over 400 yards of offense.

Houston had a chance to go down and tie the game late, but Trey Lance threw a red zone interception that sealed the Saints win.

The Texans will try to regroup after their bye next week.

Baltimore Ravens 22

PITTSBURGH - Tyler Bass made five field goals, including the game winner with :08 seconds on the clock, to help the Baltimore Ravens (3-2, 2-1 AFC South) pick up their third consecutive win on the season.

TE Mark Andrews was again a threat throughout with 127 yards receiving. QB Jalen Hurts came up clutch when it counted with a critical 3rd down conversion late in the 4th to set up the game-winner from Bass.

Baltimore will now travel to London, England to take on the Tennessee Titans in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Los Angeles Rams 21

Philadelphia Eagles 40

LOS ANGELES - Christian McCaffrey ran wild on the Los Angeles Rams helping fuel the Philadelphia Eagles 40-21 victory.  McCaffrey ran for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively the Eagles were helped by a pick six by Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and three pass deflections by Patrick Surtain.

The Eagles (3-2) move into a tie for first place with the Giants after the win and will look to keep rolling next week as they stay on the road to take on the New York Jets.

Green Bay Packers 45

Las Vegas Raiders 24

LAS VEGAS - The Packers (3-2) got back in the win column with a 45-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.  Green Bay was led once again by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa who threw for 303 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for another TD.

However, it was the young rookie Tyler Scott who had everyone buzzing with two kickoff return touchdowns.  One for 101 yards and the other for 99 yards.

"We talked about bouncing back this week and that means everyone on the 53 has a part," Scott said.  "You dream about one, but to get two?...man."

Green Bay could use the positive momentum as they take next week off for their bye.

ATLANTA - The Houston Texans (4-1) ran out of time with the ball in field goal range and an opportunity to have a kick for the win.  On the 44 yard line with 11 seconds left, quarterback Trey Lance hit tight end Maxx Williams for a 4-yard completion on the sideline.  However, Williams was tackled just barely in bounds and Houston, with no timeouts left, couldn't get off another snap.

The Texans were down 10 players due to injury, many on their offensive line and as a result couldn't get things going much of the game.  Lance found himself pressured all day and as a result, Houston found themselves holding their first loss of the season.

The Texans will look to rebound next week against the New Orleans Saints at home.

Dallas Cowboys 9

San Francisco 49ers 23

SANTA CLARA - Dalvin Cook rushed for 143 yards on the ground and added another 42 in the air as the San Francisco 49ers took care of business, beating the Dallas Cowboys 23-9.

There was obvious friction between these two teams and it come to a head with the 49ers kicking a field goal as time expired even though the game was easily in hand for San Francisco.

When asked why, Coach Kyle Shanahan replied, "F___ Dallas."

The 49ers will look to stay unedited next week on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

CLEVELAND - Facing a backup quarterback, the Baltimore Ravens (2-2) easily took care of the Cleveland Browns 38-6 Sunday.

TE Mark Andrews scored 3 TDs on the day with 169 receiving yards while QB Jalen Hurts threw for over 330 yards with 4 TDs.

Baltimore picked Tyler Huntley off four times on the day.

The Ravens will now travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in Week 5.

San Diego Chargers 32

Las Vegas Raiders 21

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Chargers (4-0) continued their winning ways with a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday afternoon, 32-21.

HB Jonathan Taylor finished with 171 rushing yards and a TD.

Defensively, DB Jeremy Chinn scored on an INT while also adding a sack on the day.

The Chargers are now 4-0 to start a season for the first time since 2002. San Diego now heads into their bye week undefeated.

San Francisco 49ers 37

SANTA CLARA - The San Francisco 49ers stayed undefeated in a 37-14 blowout win over the overmatched Arizona Cardinals.

HB Calvin Cook rushed for 122 yards and a TD on 17 carries while also catching five passes for 119 yards and another TD,

Defensively, JC Jackson had two interceptions and looks to be playing well in a scheme that matches his skillset.

Although 4-0, the 49ers are rumored to be looking for some passing game help reaching out to various free agent coordinators.

The Niners host Dallas next week.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Eagles lost a second consecutive game after their 2-0 start with a 17-6 defeat at the hands of the Washington Commanders.

The Eagles, playing in yet another poor weather game seem to be stuck in first gear on offense.

"We'd like to open things up a bit," said Coach Eric Bieniemy. "But the weather gods have not been favorable so far this season.

Christian McCaffrey continues to impress, however, with 120 yards receiving in this one.

The Eagles should enjoy better weather next week as they head to LA to take on the Rams.

HOSUTON - The Houston Texans overcame a 21-0 deficit against the Pittsburgh Steelers to win 34-24 Sunday afternoon.

Deebo Samuel was big offensively, catching eight passes for 104 yards and a TD.

Defensively, the Texans got huge interceptions late from L'Jarius Sneed and Trevor Moehrig.

Houston will look to stay undefeated next week in Atlanta against the Falcons.

GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers fell in a tough contest 28-25 to the Detroit Lions.

The Packers defense continues to struggle and is ranked last in the NFL in yards allowed.

Offensively, Tua Tagovailoa was once again a bright spot, throwing for 284 yards and a touchdown, adding another two touchdowns with his feet.

The Packers will look to regroup next Monday night in Las Vegas.

TAMPA BAY - In a hard-fought NFL clash at Raymond James Stadium, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers emerged victorious against the Philadelphia Eagles, with a final score of 27-20. The Eagles faced significant challenges on the offensive front throughout the contest, struggling to gain momentum against a formidable Buccaneers defense.

Mike Evans, the Buccaneers' star wide receiver, was a standout player in this matchup, proving nearly impossible for the Eagles' defense to contain. His remarkable performance included two touchdowns in the first quarter, putting Philadelphia on its heels early.

Eagles quarterback Will Levis commented on the team's offensive struggles, saying, "It was a tough day out there. Credit to the Buccaneers' defense; they made it difficult for us to find our rhythm."

The Buccaneers' defense, led by an impressive pass rush and tight coverage, consistently pressured Levis and disrupted the Eagles' passing game. The result was a series of incomplete passes that hindered Philadelphia's ability to close the gap on the scoreboard.

MINNEAPOLIS - It may be time for NFL fans to start to take the San Diego Chargers (3-0) more seriously as they picked up their third victory in a row to start the season with a 38-9 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Jacoby Brissett bounced back from his three INT day a week ago with 241 passing yards and 4 TD. The veteran QB benefitted from a stout running game led by HB Jonathan Taylor who continued his hot start to the season with 164 rushing yards and a TD.

"We know the mentality we want to have," Taylor said. "Our defense is leading the way and we need to grind things out for our team."

San Diego dominated defensively again holding a dangerous Vikings team to only nine points. For the season, the Chargers have allowed only 31 points through three games.

Free agent acquisition Tremaine Edmunds was all over the field with an INT, a sack, and a forced fumble.

The Chargers will look to keep their hot start going against their division rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders.

Indianapolis Colts 19

BALTIMORE - The Ravens (1-2) will not start 0-3 for the first time since 2015 even without Marlon Humphrey, Greg Newsome II and Brandon Aiyuk playing after defeating the Indianapolis Colts 36-19 on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts played like the Jalen Hurts we know after a 2 INT performance vs the Bengals.

Rookies Bijan Robinson and Myles Murphy stood out for the Ravens with Robinson scoring 3 TDs and Murphy collecting 2.0 sacks.

The Ravens will next play the Cleveland Browns in a pivotal divisional matchup.

Green Bay Packers 27

New Orleans Saints 26

GREEN BAY -  The Green Bay Packers pulled off a stunning come-from-behind victory on Sunday, defeating the New Orleans Saints 34-30 in a thrilling NFL showdown at Lambeau Field.

The Packers, who had trailed throughout the game, including a 16-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter, orchestrated a remarkable turnaround. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, despite a rocky start, showcased his resilience and leadership by guiding his team on three scoring drives in the final period, including a clutch 4th-and-15 throw to Justin Jefferson.

Tagovailoa spoke about his team's incredible comeback, saying, "We never lost faith in ourselves. We knew we had it in us to turn things around, and that's exactly what we did today. It's a testament to the character of this team."

Receiver Amon St. Brown emerged as a key playmaker for the Packers, contributing significantly with three touchdowns and over 100 yards receiving. Jacksonville Jaguars 24

JACKSONVILLE - The Houston Texans dismantled the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, putting up 500 yards of offense and at one point leading by 24 points. Houston was led by reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Week Trey “Quadruple” Lance and his historic day. Lance had a perfect passer rating via a 23-25 day which including a drop, 411 yards, and 4 TD. Lance’s only blemish was a fumble, but other than that the discarded 3rd overall pick was pristine. His weapons were led by Rondale Moore and 2 bombed TD’s to the diminutive slot weapon and 2 more touchdowns to Tight End Isaiah Likely. Deebo Samuel chipped in with more than 100 yards as well but seemed to be walking gingerly after the contest. 

Jacksonville moved the ball at times, and had a few key plays from star running back Travis Etienne but 14 of the 24 points were scored in essentially garbage time. Former number one overall pick Trevor Lawrence had time to throw, only being sacked twice and hit four times all game, but there were quite a few checkdowns on an aggressive top down Texans defense. Jimmie Ward made his presence felt coming back from injury for Houston, picking up a couple of PBUs and racking up double digit tackles. 

Houston is now averaging more than 40 points per game through 3 weeks and goes to take on a dynamic Pittsburgh defense next week. Jacksonville travels to perhaps their new home in London for a 6:30 AM contest. Houston’s win pushed them to a 3-0 record and Jacksonville to 1-2, leaving Houston up 2 games overall in a weak AFC South. Also - David Shaw is a god.

2023 3GML Season - Week #1

SAN DIEGO - After a six year absence, the San Diego Chargers (1-0) returned home to defeat the Miami Dolphins (0-1) 34-6 at a rebuilt and rocking Jack Murphy Stadium. 

New Head Coach Nick Sirianni had his team prepared and hungry to face the Dolphins as the Chargers dominated in all three phases of the game. 

“We knew what this return meant to our fans,” Sirianni said. “I’m proud of our effort and looking forward to what is next.”

San Diego’s rookies and new acquisitions showed up throughout the game in major ways. 

Rookie Linebacker Nolan Smith was a force throughout with 7 tackles, 2.0 sacks and 5 tackles for loss.

“This is a team people have been sleeping on,” Smith said. “You’ll get this every week - We were made for this.”

Fellow rookie Joey Porter Jr. made enough plays against WR Tyreek Hill to keep him mostly out of the game while newly acquired HB Jonathan Taylor carried the ground attack with 164 yards rushing and 2 TD. 

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the leader brought in by the new SD ownership group previously led the Miami attack that lost the famous 3GML AFC Championship “Snow Game” back in 2016.

“I knew beating Miami would be big for our owner,” Brissett said. “He showed a lot of faith in me to bring me in to earn a starting spot - I didn’t want to let him down.”

Brissett finished with 309 passing yards and 2 TD to go along with an INT.

The Chargers will now travel to face the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

PITTSBURGH— In a rain-soaked showdown at Levi's Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers emerged victorious over the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) with a final score of 33-21 during their Week 1 clash on Sunday.

Breaking News: Chargers Returning to San Diego

SAN DIEGO - "San Diego Super Chargers, San Diego Chargers!" will once again be ringing throughout Southern California as the Chargers are returning home after a brief stay in Los Angeles.  The relocation was unanimously approved by owners as there was optimism the move will recharge the franchise for years to come. 

Shortly after the move was announced season tickets sold out proving the fan base in San Diego is ready to support this move with their feet.  The Chargers will play in New Jack Murphy Stadium this season and seem genuinely excited for the change.

"We are unbelievably thrilled for this move," GM EP stated.  "This will be a return to the glory days from my childhood.  The people of San Diego can expect a hard hitting team that will compete every day.  The fight in this team will remind folks of Junior Seau."

The move will have no bearing on the NFL division alignment as the Chargers remain in the difficult AFC West.
