1. Jacksonville Jaguars - QB Trevor Lawrence (Best talent in the draft; tremendous arm)
2. New York Jets - QB Zach Wilson (Great long ball passer; Strong in PA)
3. San Francisco 49ers - QB Mac Jones (Great prospect; Gets the ball out quick)
4. Atlanta Falcons - TE Kyle Pitts (Best pass catcher in the draft)
5. Cincinnati Bengals - OT Penei Sewell (If the Bengals want to protect Joe Burrow they need a strong lineman - Sewell is the best in the business)
6. LA Chargers - WR Ja'Marr Chase (Speedy, quick and agile receiver - Full of talent)

8. Carolina Panthers - QB Justin Fields (Sam Darnold is rubbish)

3GML Mock Draft 2.0

1. Jacksonville Jaguars - QB Trevor Lawrence - best quarterback prospect to come out since Andrew Luck, easiest pick in the past 5 years.
2. New York Jets - QB Zach Wilson - As much as the team says they like Sam Darnold, it’s a new regime in New York and Wilson is an incredible talent. I think he’d be better than Darnold in a SF based offense as well, this opens the team up for a Darnold trade to add even more draft capital.
3. San Francisco 49ers - QB Trey Lance - Yes you gotta think that Justin Fields is certainly in play here but Lance doesn’t turn the football over. While this could go either way, the 9ers didn’t make a massive trade up to not take a quarterback. I think they go with Lance.
4. Denver Broncos (TRADE UP WITH ATLANTA) - QB Justin Fields. I just can’t see this not being a trade down for the Falcons. The Broncos can say whatever they want about Drew Lock but Fields upside is through the roof and it’s time this team makes a move. 
5. Cincinnati Bengals - OT Penei Sewell - He’s the best offensive line prospect I’ve ever scouted and the team absolutely needs an upgrade on the offensive line in a big way. 
6. LA Chargers - WR Jamarr Chase - Pairing up Herbert with yet another superstar receiver gives them the best receiving corps in the NFL
7. Detroit Lions - LB Micah Parsons - The team wants to become a super physical team and they have a huge hole at Linebacker, this is the pick here even though the team desperately needs WR help. They can add to that spot in round 2 or 3 but Parsons is a special talent.
8. Carolina Panthers - TE Kyle Pitts. The team needs a quarterback in a major way as Teddy has shown he’s nothing more than a game manager. The team has a major hole in the middle of the field now and Pitts is a unique talent at the tight end/slot position.
9. Atlanta Falcons - CB Patrick Surtain - Yes they could certainly go with an offensive player here or even a wide receiver. The team instead upgrades a terrible secondary with the most NFL ready DB in the draft.
10. Dallas Cowboys - CB Jaycee Horn - It could be Caleb Farley as well without question but the Cowboys have to improve defensively. Horn is insanely talented and didn’t opt out this season. There has to be a random ass move in the top 10, this could be it.
11. New York Giants - DE Kwity Paye - The team needs help in a few spots and this may be Slater or Vera-Tucker but again the NFL draft is super random and Paye is extremely talented. The Giants have a major hole at pass rusher and have for a long time.
12. Philadelphia Eagles - CB Caleb Farley - If they are going to play that much press man coverage they have to get someone who can actually play that role. A wide receiver makes a ton of sense here too but their DB’s were god awful last year.
13. 3GML Houston Texans - DE Gregory Rousseau - The Texans list of edge rushers right now are literally the worst in the NFL. Rousseau is still raw but he was insanely productive at Miami and the Texans have a high first round grade on the Hurricane prospect.
14. Minnesota Vikings - G/T Alijah Vera-Tucker - Tucker is someone who likely will kick inside at the next level but he’s an athletic quick guy who could help this team immediately with the scheme they play.
15. 3GML Miami Dolphins - G/T Rashawn Slater - A versatile tough smart offensive lineman is a perfect move for a Dolphins team that loves to run the football. This may be a dream scenario for the Fins.
16. Arizona Cardinals - WR Jaylen Waddle - I could see this being a defensive player, particularly an edge rusher but with two big physical receivers they need a burner and nobody is faster running routes than Waddle.
17. Las Vegas Raiders - S Trevon Moehrig - The Raiders have holes all over the place on defense but decided to go with Moehrig who is the higher floor player here. 
18. 3GML Texans - LB Zaven Collins - The Texans linebackers right now are not very good and the team needs front 7 help in a big way. Collins can play on the edge or off ball as an incredible coverage guy with massive size and athleticism.
19. Washington Football Team - WR Devonte Smith - The best route runner and Heisman trophy winner would provide a gigantic upgrade for the WFT. Adding Sameul this offseason was a big addition, and moving Smith to that WR room is a huge boost and a steal this late in the process.
20. Chicago Bears - QB Mac Jones - The Bears get really lucky here and stand pat and still get someone who can be their quarterback of the future. They were looking at maybe adding a quality WR but stay with Jones as they’re in desperate need of someone to be their future at the position.
21. Indianapolis Colts - OT Christian Darrisaw - A Colts team that has been built along the offensive line needs a big boost at LT after Castonzo retired. This would be a seamless transition.
22. Tennessee Titans - WR Rashod Bateman - The team looks to replace a big physical fast receiver in Corey Davis with maybe a more refined version of him at 22.
23. New York Jets - LB Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah - The Jets are going to need some speed on that defense in order to run that C3 scheme their bringing over from SF. He’s exceptionally athletic and can do a ton of different things in this system.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers - OT Teven Jenkins - The team lost Feiler and Villanueva at this point and really need a physical player at the point. While I think this is a bit of a reach, the physicality is important and he can slide right into the RT slot, kicking Chuks over to LT.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars - DE Jayson Oweh - Obviously there are some thoughts on adding help to Trevor Lawrence but the Jags couldn’t get after the quarterback. Oweh is maybe the most impressive H/W/S athlete in this entire class.
26. Cleveland Browns - DE Azeez Ojulari - The Browns have to find someone on the other end who can keep teams from double teaming Garrett consistently.
27. Baltimore Ravens - WR Terrance Marshall - The team couldn’t really bring in big help at WR this offseason because it turns out WR’s don’t want to go to teams that never throw the freaking ball. Marshall is a solid WR2 type guy who can really help and fits the mold of what this team is looking for at WR.
28. New Orleans Saints - WR Kadarius Toney - This team completely relies on people who can run after the catch and they need separators in a big way. Toney will give them someone who can do a bit more and create open throwing windows in a way nobody has in years for New Orleans.
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DB Elijah Molden - The team has virtually zero holes and so therefore it goes for someone who can play multiple spots in the back end. He’s obviously best suited to be a slot corner but his physicality means he can play in 4,5, or 6 man defensive backfields.
30. Buffalo Bills - RB Travis Etienne - The only real roster hole on this team is at pass rusher and running back and they decide to give Josh Allen yet another toy here with the quickest and most accomplished back in the draft.
31. Kansas City Chiefs - OT Dillon Radunz - The team cut both its starting tackles and we saw what happened when they were getting killed by four man pressure in the Super Bowl. Radunz is a small school kid but can really play, the question is whether or not he can play tackle at the NFL level.
32. Green Bay Packers 3GML - DE Jaelen Phillips - The Packers won the last two 3GML titles by being a team with insane receivers and the best pass rush in NFL history. They can’t rely on Harold Landry to put  up 20 sacks again, or Geno Atkins to get them double figures anymore. Phillips is raw as hell but supremely talented and he’ll be an athletic upgrade over everyone on their front.  

3GML Mock Draft 1.0

Draft season is here!  The four members of the 3GML will be working over the next three months to improve their rosters for the 2021 campaign and the NFL Draft will play a huge role in that work.  For our first mock draft we take a look at who we think each team will take with their first round picks.

3. San Francisco 49ers - QB Justin Fields (Ohio St.) - The 49ers were a quarterback short of their title aspirations.  Teddy Bridgewater started hot but cooled dramatically and as a result, the team struggled down the stretch.  It became obvious Bridgewater wasn't the answer and San Francisco needed a boost.  However, their 9-6-1 record kept them from being within reach of any of the top targets in the draft.  A blockbuster trade later and San Fran is poised to take their quarterback of the future in Justin Fields.  The Niners are likely hoping Zach Wilson falls to three, but we can't see a scenario where he gets past the two-hole.  However, Fields absolutely has the skills to be a franchise QB with a nice blend of athleticism and throwing prowess.  The franchise's next five years are riding on getting this right and San Francisco would be giving Fields a great chance at proving them right with their pick.

13. Houston Texans - WR DeVonta Smith (Alabama) - We saw how much the Texans offense struggled this year as their receivers struggled to separate.  In order to compete next year, they have to address this position.  How Smith falls this far is beyond us, but his size is likely going to cause some teams pause.  Add Ja'Marr Chase and Jaylen Waddle to this draft class and you have just enough to make this a realistic possibility.  Smith was an animal at Alabama and the Texans will gladly take him to improve their weak receiving corps.  Smith possesses the route running skills GM TH loves and will move into the WR1 role immediately.  When you combine his skillset with Denzel Mims' size, the outlook in Houston changes dramatically.

15. Miami Dolphins - Edge Jaelan Phillips (Miami) - The Dolphins are once again under EP's leadership and ready to get back to the top of the AFC East.  The Dolphin's roster has a hole at pass rush and will address it in the draft rather than free agency.  Phillips is a former five-star recruit who transferred from UCLA before this season and flourished.  EP loves versatility and wants someone who can play all over the place.  Phillips can put his hand in the dirt or stand up, play outside or rush from the interior.  Miami is known for being a jack of all trades on defense and Jaelan Phillips embodies that philosophy.

18. Houston Texans - LB Zaven Collins (Tulsa) - The other glaring weakness for the Texans this season was in linebacker coverage.  For as good as Zach Cunningham was, he struggled when asked to do anything but stop the run and tackle.  Collins is an electric player who was arguably the best defensive player in the country this season.  His football IQ is high and we can see him quickly becoming the defensive play caller for the Texans defense.  Look for Zaven and Zach (or Z squared) to be a dynamic duo in Houston for years to come.

32. Green Bay Packers - WR Kadarius Toney (Florida) - The defending champs will have a number of holes to fill as multiple players depart in free agency.  Green Bay doesn't have a lot of flexibility in their cap space and will struggle to bring many players back.  Expect JuJu Smith-Schuster to be one of those, leaving a huge hole at WR3.  As of right now, Equanimeous St. Brown is number three on the depth chart, followed by a bunch of UDFAs.  One injury to Stefon Diggs or Justin Jefferson would bring this dynamic passing attack to a screeching halt.  Toney will address this need as a much needed slot receiver that can also stretch the field.  He naturally creates space and has good hands.  MVP Aaron Rodgers will be celebrating with a scotch after this pick.

Miami Welcomed Back Under New (Old) Ownership

In one of the most unsurprising events of all time, the NFL just announced the sale of the Miami Dolphins to their former General Manager who will take over the club’s operations immediately.
“The jokes will write themselves,” EP said. “But I missed the camaraderie with the guys. I didn’t miss the job of GM however, so I just bought the team instead.”
For the past few years EP’s ownership group has been involved in English Football with well-documented success. With his club’s profits needing to be spent, a venture back into American football was the next logical move.
Miami’s first order of business was hiring former Florida Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach Brian Johnson. The 34-year old Johnson quarterbacked the University of Utah in college and was on the cover of EA Sports NCAA Football game.

"Let me explain the job ahead of us very simply," Johnson said. "Our job is to line up five, seven, ten yards in front of a man and run into him full speed." 
The franchise’s leadership structure has a bit of mystery to it as the new owner made it clear that he would not be the team’s GM despite his successful history.
At the news conference were many of the Miami cornerstone players. Desmond King, George Kittle and new QB Jalen Hurts were all in attendance and seemed overjoyed at the news.
“We’re going to bring this franchise back to basics,” Hurts said. “Take care of the football, hit people, and always remember three is better than six.”

2020 Season - Super Bowl LV

 (AFC) New England Patriots vs. (NFC) GREEN BAY PACKERS

TAMPA BAY - The Green Bay Packers finished their unbelievable run with a 30-13 Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.  The win is the 5th for the historic franchise that won the first Super Bowl back in 1967 and has a the championship trophy named after its hall of fame head coach.

The final score was not indicative of what kind of game fans were treated to at Raymond James Stadium Sunday.  In a back-and-forth affair, the Packers (14-4-1) struck first with a 36-yard touchdown run by Super Bowl MVP Damien Williams.  New England (14-6) struck back on a Damiere Byrd touchdown reception from quarterback Deshaun Watson.  From there, the teams exchanged field goals and headed into the half tied at 10.

The third quarter proved much of the same with both defenses proving their worth and again each giving up a field goal.  Then with the game tied at 13 late in the quarter, the game-defining play that occurs in every Super Bowl happened.  Pressured by the Packer pass rush, Watson rolled out to his left and tried to force something down field.  Waiting in the wings was linebacker Josey Jewell who returned the interception back for a touchdown, completely swinging the momentum in favor of Green Bay.

"Man, you could feel the air let out on their bench after that." Jewell said, "Deshaun is a great player so I just feel so fortunate to help my team win today.  Super Bowl Champs!"

From there, the Patriots struggled to move the ball and an Aaron Rodgers touchdown pass to Damien Williams in the 4th quarter sealed it.  The Green Bay Packers were Super Bowl LV Champions.

The Super Bowl win gives GM SD back-to-back rings and three overall in the 3GML.  "I'm so happy right now.  We're going to celebrate a bit and then get back to work for a busy offseason.  This one feels special." SD said.

The 2020 3GML season was one for the ages and the GMs will now turn their attention to year seven.

2020 Season - Championship Round

NFC Championship - Atlanta Falcons @ GREEN BAY PACKERS

GREEN BAY - With the snow falling at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers punched a ticket to Super Bowl LV with their 40-26 win over the Atlanta Falcons.  The Packers (13-4-1) head back to the Super Bowl for the first time since their Super Bowl 50 loss to the 3GML Miami Dolphins.  However, for GM SD it's his second consecutive trip as GM after the Buffalo Bills won it all last year.

The game itself was a wild one early with Adrian Amos returning a Matt Ryan interception for a touchdown to kick off the scoring.  Atlanta (12-7) answered with a field goal before Tavon Austin returned the ensuing kickoff back for a 91 yard touchdown giving Green Bay a 14-3 lead.  "Oh man, we' haven't had one of those all year." Austin said, "I honestly can't believe that just happened."

After the teams exchanged field goals, the Falcons got a pick six of their own when Foyesade Oluokun intercepted an errant Aaron Rodgers pass.  That's when things settled down and the Packers offense got to work.  From there they scored on each of their remaining drives and Atlanta couldn't keep up.  Key to the surge was once again Damien Williams.  The all league running back moved the chains when his team needed a first down and finished with 30 carries for 170 yards earning him the NFC Championship player of the game award.  "Honored to help this team win.  We going to the Super Bowl Baby!" Williams said.

Green Bay will advance to take on Deshaun Watson and the New England Patriots who are trying to make it six years in a row an AFC East team is the last one standing.
