3GML Position Group Rankings: Cornerbacks

Throughout the summer, 3GML beat writers from across the country will be breaking down the position groups for each of the seven 3GML franchises. The assigned point values will assist with our 2017 3GML pre-season rankings and projections!

CORNERBACKS

BUFFALO BILLS
2017 Top 3 CBs: Casey Hayward (86), Brian Poole (76), & James Bradberry (81)
Breakdown: This is a young and promising group that could be listed as a 10 based on future outlook alone. Casey Hayward was the steal of free agency a year ago. Brian Poole and James Bradberry are a testament to the scouting department in Buffalo nabbing these prospects and turning them into legitimate DBs.

MIAMI DOLPHINS
2017 Top 3 CBs: Jason Verrett (85), Byron Jones (85), & Desmond King (Rookie)
Breakdown: This could be one of the best groups in the 3GML depending on how rookie Desmond King develops. The Miami defense may lead the league again this year.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
2017 Top 3 CBs: Logan Ryan (85), DJ Hayden (73), & Prince Amukamara (81)
Breakdown: DJ Hayden should see a growth spurt this season with Logan Ryan and Prince Amukamara guiding him. The Patriots draft well and will look to continue to build their defense moving forward, but this group is solid.

NEW YORK JETS
2017 Top 3 CBs: Desmond Trufant (89), Jalen Ramsey (85), & Kevin Johnson (80)
Breakdown: The Jets front office hit a home run with their first draft pick last year by selecting Jalen Ramsey out of Florida State. Desmond Trufant is one of the elite corners in the game - The University of Washington product will have plenty of opportunities to make plays with the wealth of defensive talent Todd Bowles and company have collected.
