Throughout the summer, 3GML beat writers from across the country will be breaking down the position groups for each of the seven 3GML franchises. The assigned point values will assist with our 2017 3GML pre-season rankings and projections!
SPECIAL TEAMS
BUFFALO BILLS
2017 Special Teams Contributors: K Chris Boswell (82), P Colton Schmidt (73), RET Travis Benjamin (92)
Breakdown: The team jettisoned last year's 3GML kicker of the year, Dan Carpenter, who made it a habit of hitting 45+ yard game-winners late in the regular season. With the entire NFL now gunning for the Bills, their margin of error should shrink, putting a higher emphasis on field position and special teams play.

MIAMI DOLPHINS
2017 Special Teams Contributors: K Justin Tucker (87), P Marquette King (85), RET Cordarrelle Patterson (96)
Breakdown: Best special teams unit in the 3GML. The addition of Marquette King just made a team that prides itself on winning the field position game even more dangerous. What will be interesting is if Justin Tucker can recover from his devastating performance in the AFC divisional round (missed PAT and FG).

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
2017 Special Teams Contributors: K Dan Bailey (84), P Matt Darr (78), RET Dion Lewis (81)
Breakdown: On the whole, the word that comes to mind when describing that Pats' special teams unit, is average. Nothing here to worry about, but nothing to celebrate either.

NEW YORK JETS
2017 Special Teams Contributors: K Nick Folk (78), P Austin Rehkow (Rookie), RET Tyreek Hill (94)
Breakdown: Tyreek Hill will be a nightmare for teams to tackle, but it is hard to get excited about Nick Folk or Austin Rehkow. Although special teams are important, with the depth of talent for the Jets, if Todd Bowles can get this unit to be average, they will still be the best team (on paper) on the league.
