Last night’s
Fantasy Draft laid the framework for each of the three franchises competing in
the “3-Guys Madden League.” All three
owners chose to build their team’s from the “inside-out” with Wide Receivers
and other skill players watching their stocks plummet as Guards and D-Tackles
were selected early and often.
Below is a
recap for each team:
Buffalo Bills (Owner B)
The Bills
chose QB Aaron Rodgers as their “Keeper” which instantly gave them credibility
and cemented them as a playoff contender for the upcoming season. With a defensive line tandem of Geno Atkins
and Gerald McCoy along with perennial All-Pro Luke Kuechly at MLB, the middle
looks to be the place to avoid when facing the Bills. Buffalo also picked up one of the steals of
the draft selecting RB Todd Gurley in the 8th round.
New York Jets (Owner H)
Fans in New
York will be lining up to purchase their Cam Newton jerseys (“Keeper” for the
Jets), but the selections of Marshall Yanda, Travis Frederick and Zach Martin
put the league on notice that Cam and his stable of tailbacks will be coming
straight at opponents. The Jets also
created an Iron Curtain of their own with Aaron Donald & Kawann Short
jamming the middle on defense. The last
round selection of Bud Dupree gave New York one of the best young defenses in
the league.
Miami Dolphins (Owner X)
By keeping
Outside Linebacker Khalil Mack and them subsequently drafting Earl Thomas (FS),
Bobby Wagner (LB), Leonard Williams (DE) and Star Lotulelei (DT), the Dolphins
will lean on their defense as they build their franchise. Choosing Kicker Justin Tucker before any
Quarterback proved that Miami fans will be rooting for low-scoring and
hard-hitting games; if they give up more than 21 points a game, their offense
may not be able to keep up.
Games start
next week with the following league matchups:

Colts @ Buffalo Bills
Cleveland
Browns @ New York Jets
Miami Dolphins @ Washington Redskins
