2016 Offensive Preview
Not a weak link in the group. Rodgers will benefit in an historic fashion from the additions of Amari Cooper and Josh Doctson. An increased emphasis on the running game between Pro Bowl Guards Lang and Sitton will allow Gurley to rack up yards on the inside before allowing Rodgers and company to pick apart teams when they creep up. Easily the league's most explosive offense heading into 2016 - and it isn't even close.
2016 Projected Starters (Defense)
LE: Kony Ealy - 79
DT: Geno Atkins - 94
DT: Gerald McCoy - 92
RE: Michael Johnson - 79
LOLB: Mark Barron - 75
MLB: Luke Kuechly - 99
ROLB: Clay Matthews - 89
CB1: Casey Hayward - 84
CB2: Damarious Randall - 76
FS: Adrian Amos - 77
SS: Patrick Chung - 86
2016 Defensive Preview
Needs offense to run the ball to protect subtle deficiencies in secondary. Is the combination of Hayward & Randall strong enough to facilitate the expected Super Bowl run? Atkins/McCoy second best combination in NFL (behind New York Jets' tandem of Aaron Donald and Kawann Short). Pass rush must come from linebacking corps - Ealy & Johnson not as explosive as you'd like.
2016 Team Preview
No way this team wins fewer than 10 games. AFC East will be a war. Must handle business against Brady-less Patriots in Week 4 after tough games against Jets and Arizona Cardinals. Week 17 versus Jets should be for the division title.
2016 Projection: 11-5, 1st AFC East
Looking Towards 2017
Cap space may be an issue as team looks to resign Luke Willson, Vance McDonald, TJ Lang, & Josh Sitton. Team already pressed with limited cap space moving forward. Next two 1st round picks belong to Oakland after Amari Cooper trade. 2016 looming as Super Bowl or bust season in Buffalo.
